Hi, just bought some ray ban black wayfarers from an auction website, the seller claimed "100% authentic" just received them, pretty sure their fake, i've asked the seller for a refund since he claimed they were real when they arn't ... his sale post says no returns so ...

Paypal dispute it is then but you will need to be able to prove they are fake, you being pretty sure shouldn't cut the mustard but might with ebay.

Mention trading standards in a email to the seller as you suspect the goods are fake and that is illegal.

Well, ebay have a spotting a fake guide, and i've read their guide lines so ... would i have to take pictures of it and send off to paypal?

Oh god are they fake? I am so sorry, for my own reference how do you know if they are fake or not? I had no idea? I will issue you a full refund today and you can keep the glasses. Once again i am very sorry. Thanks Craig

Thats quite simple isnt it.

Its cheap and 9 times out of 10 you will have no issues

But as we all know there are still plenty of scammers that use the auction site

Then you don't understand the premise of ebay.

If you paid by paypal you will be covered, personally I wouldn't buy anything like that as it is very common for them to be fake, much like the dodgy memory cards and makeup etc...

I would never buy anything from ebay that could be fake though.

lol from reading that and letting you keep the glasses he knew there were fake i would still report him to paypal to stop other ppl getting ripped off

Just checked his other items for sale, and a lot of other raybans so ... i guessed as much, going to make sure i get the refund before leaving feed back and reporting.
