So I completed the online DS-160 form, booked my embassy appointment bla bla bla.

Only now (a few days later) I have recived an email with a few extra tid bits of information. It has also made me aware I have answered a question wrong on my online DS-160 application, do you think I can re-submit it?

(It appears I should really have got this email prior to completeing the application, but for whatever reason I didn't)

DO NOT re-submit. I'm in the process of helping someone do the same thing for an F1 (and remember from doing mine) that if there was a mistake on your application you should not re-submit but instead contact them via email. Trying to find the link for you now.

Bit off-topic (sorry), but how long are you going to the US for?

I'd really like to move over there for at least 6 months. Seems like a problem though unless you're on business or have an education visa

Wow, must have been in reference to another form that's causing me to recall the email address because you should do the exact opposite of what i'm saying!!! :o

I have made an error in the data entry. Should I correct it/is there anything that I can do to correct this?
If you saved the form as you were completing it to either your hard drive or CD/USB, you can go back and correct any errors that you have made and resubmit the application. If you did not save the data then you will be required to complete a new application.

Damn. That means I'm going to have to cancel my appointment and reschedule (at least according to the various info I have found). Oh joy.

Damn, bad luck. :( I (only) got here 7 months ago (K1 visa) and I used the DS-156K, I must have filled the silly thing in about 5 times before I got it correct.

Which question was it that you got wrong?

Yeah you are going to have to resubmit and reorganize, the US visa system is just insane, more so if you aren't in a 'normal' country at the time. I wish it was simpler but it just isn't.
