Maybe, but the police have swamped the area so she is most probably more protected than you and I at the moment.

WHAT OF?!!? What exactly is she afraid of when there are police marksmen outside her house? How would walking around in the street away from the marksmen make her safer!?

What is stupid about that? She had a break in and is feeling vulnerable then armed police tell her to get back in the house she probably doesn't feel safe in. It's only a natural feeling to have to feel scared. It's not every day people have armed marksmen telling them to get inside!

But TBH she does sound like she is milking it!

She is most probably sitting in her chair watching her daughter on the news confusing it with the Big Brother eviction and cheering her daughter on!!
 
Tbh I can imagine the Old woman being pretty scared of it all. The hype in the village must be silly. He broke into her home earlier in the week also ffs. She wants to be no where near him or the armed police id imagine. Her daughter is over reacting but you can see the BBC woman dragging her about and egging her on to talk on camera. Also who said they would be walking about in the street? Her daughter may live outside of the taped off area? If you think this woman is a "charv" You need to meet some real "charvs".
 
Some of the people in this thread obviously couldn't care less if their lone mothers were barricaded form them by armed police, who refused to let you take her home with you at a time of shock and fear.

Ok so the fat lady looks like she is overreacting, but her poor mother? God knows how scared she must feel locked in her own home. The first thing she wants is to be with a trusting family member.

Shotguns loaded with birdshot can shoot through 5 or 6 houses and kill people up to 10 miles away. It's a very dangerous situation and I would be absolutely terrified and probably in tears if I was in her position.
