WHEN YOU SAY DUBS I THINK YOU MEAN MUD.
Give me subtitles and the original voice track any day. Dubbing just loses the emotion the original voices convey.
Plus lots of dubs have crap voice acting, crap voices, and sometimes even change the meaning by Americanising the jokes and speech
For the life of me, I cannot figure out why people hate dubbed anime/games so much. They say it sounds better in japanese. I dunno about the rest of you but I find female japanese voices a little too "girly" and the males sound like they have to rush through every piece of text. Everywhere I go I see the same thing posted, 'dubs suck' and so on. Could it be the ones saying it are all from Japan? You watch anime to watch, you don't watch anime to read at least I don't. If I wanted to read I'd read the manga. How can anyone enjoy watching anime when there eyes have to be at the bottom of the screen reading, just too much hassle and I oh did I mention I can't stand the japanese voices.
The main problem is using stupid "cartoon" voices when they are clearly not called for.
I don't watch anything foreign unless it's dubbed because CBA reading subs whilst I'm trying to watch a film. The only people who says dubs suck are fanboys, and lets face it, they haven't even had sex yet, so who cares what they think.
I don't even realise that I'm reading the subs it's that natural.
You're doing it wrong....
For the record, I've had sexual intercourse with a lady.

This, entirely.
Reading subtitles in no way detracts from a film's visuals. Realistically, you barely even rtealise they're there. Your brain processes the reading much more quickly than it does the visuals. Anyone who complains about "reading" when they should be watching etc, in my mind, is a moron.
CBA? so you're basically admitting you're a bit, shall we say "slow"... as fubsy said above, it takes no effort at all and you soon forget they're even there.
edit: damnit, i'm a bit slow as well.![]()
