Corsair H50 Review @ Skinnee Labs

Thanks for that Yellowbeard. I have a H50 ordered for tomorrow, but I have no idea what will be the best way to set the fans for the Antec 300 case. Front fan as an intake? top fan? side fans?

Tis all very confusing.

Just put it as exaust on the rear, saves changing all of the fans and keeps airflow good. Max temperature difference between intake/outake is 2-3 degrees. Considering the disturbance in airflow it would cause ( having to move heat down etc.) its not really worth it.

We have installation videos and a guide for supplemental mounting information here at this link. It should help you with the install and decisions.

Had mine for 8 months now and its still going sweet has my I5 750 @ 4 gig, good fans help i have 2 of the Apache fans running mine push and pull.

Indeed I have nothing but good things to say about this cooler, keeps my 920@4Ghz nice an cool in my FT02B, even in this heat. When I can be bothered to whip the mobo out of my other PC itll be getting one too in replacement of my TRUE. Nice reviews though.

Just got one from OcUK with their bundle

Awesome bundle btw, just passed the first half hour of orthos small fft (max temp is currently 85 degrees - toasty)

The H50 pump is making a clicking/ticking noise though, I assume this is not normal, is there anything I need to do to stop this? I thought a few thermal cycles might help . . . .

Seems a bit warm, mines not gone over 80oC even in this weather running IBT which will heat you up more than orthos does, but it may be a difference in case airflow or vcore.

Ive not had the ticking noise on mine at all, so im not sure what would fix it, my suggestion would be to RMA it as it shouldnt do that I dont think. Im sure Yellowbeard may have some more fruitful advice.

Make sure your that if your pump is connected to the MOBO, that the MOBO is not throttling the pump speed. The pump needs a full 12v.

Nah, thats not it. I have an RMA code for Overclockers, so it will be getting sent back. However, that leaves me coolerless on my PC! So I am going to have to beg borrow steal an i7 cooler while I am awaiting a replacement.

Sorry you got a bad one. OCUK will get you fixed up quickly though.

No problem, it does happen. They are all made by human beings! Not everyone is perfect like me :D.

Certainly doesn't put me off Corsair! I am still using the 620HX I got from the first lot!
