Sultan of Brunei car collection

H must be single handedly keeping car manufacturers in business.

I wonder if you created a list of all the cars the UK owns, it would look quite as impressive.

That is an obscene amount of cars but Brunei as a nation is pretty wealthy and the government provides free healthcare to all citizen and subsidise heavily rice and housing so everyone can afford to eat and have a roof over their heads. I'm quietly impressed.

How does the free healthcare etc work then?

The countries estimated population and GDP last year were:

Population
- 388,190

GDP (PPP)
- Total $19.674 billion
- Per capita $49,109

That's PLENTY of money to fund free healthcare for everyone....

:)

5 McLaren F1's.... what the... I don't even.. :S

Ridiculous levels of unnecessary extravagance like this make me sick.

What the hell else do you suggest he spends his money on?

Besides, every single one of us is responsible for him being absolutely sminted.

His palace is vast, and it's located just outside Bandar Seri Bagawan.
He's quite popular in Brunei as the locals have free healthcare, education, etc and don't pay a single penny in tax.
No booze though.

I went there last year, lovely place if a bit boring. The price of fuel made me cry though. I think it was about 20p a litre.

Yes, I was going to post this but you beat me to it. The civilians love him for the reasons above. It's nice to see they are diversifying into tourism etc. as well, the oil won't last for ever. I went about 3 years ago now, a lovely place but a long flight!

Wonder how many have seized or need new batteries etc from sitting ?

The digital swap will be a bit of a pain if he wants the radios back too
