ok new graphics cards on the menu,

i've got upto 100 quid to spend and want something with some poke

i'm currently running a sapphire radeon HD2600XT pciE the 256Mb model
it lets me play racedriver grid and borderlands just but i want something more

powers not an issue and i'm upgrading my psu to the antec basiq jobby at the same time
oh and preferably dual dvi out, not really worried about hdmi but if not dual dvi then dvi and a vga at the very least

system specs are as follows

GA EG41mft mobo
intel C2D E7500
2Gb DDR3 1066 ram

A used 5770 should be on budget and maybe less if you are lucky. With the new nvidia competition people should be selling them left and right.

Without question.

£66 4850 512Mb [about 60-70W idle, 110W under load]
£80 4850 1gb [dont know]
£100 5750 1gb [dont know]
£125 5770 1gb [30-35W idle, 110W under load]

Those are your choices. The 5750 is more or less the same speed as the 4850 and likewise the 5770 is about the same speed as a 4870, so about 15-20% faster than a 4850.

yeah, i've seen some 4850's about and they seem pretty good and for 60 quid, i can spend whats left on cooling or something
