You've got to understand though, that WAS a helpful response.
If you buy a piece of crap chances are the motion will be horrible, the thing will be difficult to peddle, lack any profiles or settings and basically be so horrible to ride that you'll never use it.
You need to be willing to invest a lot of money to get usuable cardio equipment at home (a punchbag is the exception to this rule). Thats why buying a proper bike or some running shoes are much more viable and pretty much always a better option, if you want to use cardio machines, your better off joining a gym.
For less than a hundred quid your probably going to be looking at a 2nd hand low end bike thats never bin used, and there will be a good reason for that.
