True that but they are very handy against the other light tanks and the weaker SPG's when you get behind them.

And continuing from philstanbridge post, dont know if the game models it but HE is also handy to damage tracks when you're stuck in a fight with a heavy armoured tank that your AP cant penetrate.

It's fine now, its just the version bigdownload.com are hosting is corrupt, lots of posts on WoT's forum.

Had a few games, no kills yet lol but have survived a few times, need to research lots.
 
So what should I do, just started, do I look to upgrade 1 of my two tanks you start with or look to buy new? Also how'd you get money, I got a few K of xp points yesterday.
 
you get money in battles the same as you do exp.

the better you are the more you get.

its based on damage dealt and spotting other tanks.

I'd say look at the tech trees and work out which tank you want to end up in. The best Russian tank destroyer? The huge German Maus? Of course it will take a while to do either way, but as you need exp in the tanks to unlock the higher up tanks, you would need to focus on that armies starter tank. Plus you can carry the crews with you, retrain them for the new tanks to retain some of their experience so will operate your tank better.

Yes, to start with you won't be getting tons of points as you get the hang of the game, get used to its mechanics, and dont rush expecting to get lots of kills :)
 
Ok, that sounds good, hmmm which tank to go for, is there a list of all tanks and tree's to get there online?

Think i'll probly go down the line of russian, t34-85, guessing that will be tier 3?

Looking forward to the USA coming in, getting the slugger would be good.

No tree online as far as I know, just use the one ingame. As for which one to pick, that's entirely up to you. I myself haven't tried the tank destroyers or artillery, and have gone down the middle branch ending in the IS-7. Got to the T-28 so far, and it's quite good once you upgrade the gun. The BT2, BT7 branch gives you some nice light tanks which can zoom around and scout better, and the T44 is meant to be the best all around tank in the game.
