upgrade advice

ok started just now set the vcore to 1.3v and has lasted longer than 5 mins and not crashed yet... strange thing is in cpuz says my voltage is just the same as normal for some reason as in 1.264-1.800 is this normal?

Not sure what you mean - You may get a different reading from the software program to that that's set in the BIOS its not a big issue at the moment.

When you put your computer under stress, the vcore voltage in cpu-z may change, try it by running a program in background.

I would say if you can't get the cores stable up to a voltage of say 1.4500v then its not going to happen no matter what.

ok seem to be having no problems at all no crashes or anything :) just doing daily work and played a few games earlier but notice an improvement which is good, what would my next steps be would u say?

Brilliant, no need to upgrade cpu just yet then:D

You can begin overclocking by increasing the multiplier and the fsb.

Take it your temperatures are fine at the moment?

Yea would agree, trying a few games is not really pushing it, but it looks in your favour if it used to crash after 5 minutes.

cool will dl prime95 later and test tomoz :) temps are at around 39-40 whilst playing games asked in the cooling section about getting an aftermarket cooler cause i will probably need one now was thinking about getting the H50 but not sure it will fit as my motherboards 12v supply is quite near the back of the case (antec 300) near the fan.

Sure it will fit and yes get one, I have one on my Intel setup, pretty good, those temperatures ain't bad but you'll get a better understanding of where to go after you have completed some prime testing.

I think if the cores remain stable and we can get a few hundred extra mhz that you should be on to a winner just maybe look at replacing the graphics or adding another one.
