Facebook - Moat is a hero

rdm I couldn't care less if I am not giving your name correct punctuation.

I have lack of proof? Proof of what? I haven't claimed moat or the police did anything.. lol... dear me... rdm your reputation precedes you.

Let me put this in simpler terms for you, the police have a history of lying (proof I hear you cry? Off the top of my head JcdM) the government have a history of lying (wmds anyone?) And also the media (in both the instances the media supported and spread the same lies).

But yeah, I guess being skeptical and reserving judgiement before I know the facts is a stupid thing to do, I should just follow your lead and place my perception of reality squarely with The Sun.

Wait, are you saying you aren't convinced that Moat shot his ex-girlfriend, killed her boyfriend and then shot a policeman in the face at point blank range probably blinding him for life?

As for the morons who idolise Moat and people like him, they have nothing but my contempt.

Regardless of what happened or didn't happen with the Police, the man MURDERED three people!
I thought he only killed one person?
I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed any pity. Some people live the most dreadful of lives and sadly end up doing horrific things.

For the record - I don't think he was a hero.

I don't think he deserved to die either.

I find it weird how one cop gets shot in England and they bring in armed officers from all over the country, ship in armoured Tangis from Northern Ireland, to hunt down one man.

Yet three policemen are shot in Northern Ireland during rioting by nationalists and at least 80 officers are injured and it only just makes the papers.

Horses for courses.

I'm not questioning it, neither am I denying it. Did moat shoot these ppl? Probably . Did he shoot them in cold blood? We don't know.

My point is that just as much as I don't like people glorifying him I also don't like people speaking smack about him after a few paragraphs of drivel they have read in whatever rag they decided to buy from the shop and then proclaiming the moral high ground in the belief that they know exactly what happened.

I'm skeptical about things I have no first hand knowledge of.

I actually did find it a little odd when the police came out saying he changed his threats so he was now going to target the public as well, especially after he seemed to make it so clear it was the police he was angry with and the public shouldn't worry, obviously he was a danger regardless but it does make you wonder why they wanted to cause worry like that, what would they have gained by it?

after watching it on the news, i wish they had just shot him on the spot.

Hes a waste to our community.

Why should he of gone to prison? He would have been treated well and pretty much aloud to do what he wants, also getting out after say 20 years, the scum would have either killed himself in prison, or got out and offended again.

Hes dead, best thing for him.

but it does make you wonder why they wanted to cause worry like that, what would they have gained by it?

More help from the public in trying to find him?

When he threatened just the police, what he wrote was actually released to the newspapers.

When he apparently threatened the public too, we just got the word of the police.

How strange.

If they hadnt and he had shot a random then they would have got slaughtered in the press for not warning people.

I think people are forgotting this was all against the backdrop of that taxi drivers recent kill-crazy campaign.
