OcUK Value GTX 460 1GB?

I assumed the photo for the OcUK Value was just a place-holder though?

I sent a web-note.

'OcUK brand' doesn't exist outside of the webpage it's listed on. The 'OcUK' 480's were mostly Inno3D and Point of View cards iirc (they come in the original boxes, with original brand stickers etc..).

its not OCUK brand as such. You get what ever is on offer at the time. Many of the other big internet retailers do their own specials as well, but they are all well known brands, pot luck what you get.

I would be interested myself it what is the brand of the current batch they are selling, just to know which cooler I would be getting.

Edit. Beaten to it.

Oh I see, I was only wondering as because I seem to see that the "OCUK" ones are marginally cheaper than the other brands.

I am thinking of getting the Asus 768MB GTX460 personally due to my budget and think it would have great scope for also upgrading to 24" monitor in the future. But, seeing as the OCUK value 1GB version is only £5 more would it be wiser to get the 1GB OCUK version?

Also if no one minds me asking if anyone has previously owned a Asus GFX card with the voltage tweak, because you get 3 years warranty - but does using the Overclocking voltage tweak violate the warranty policy (Trying read it up on ASUS site now but the 460 isnt even listed there yet).

Finally, just like to say thank you for replying as it is helping me greatly

The 1GB version is quite a bit faster clock for clock, i would definitely go with that over the Asus myself. You will 'technically' void you warranty overclocking any card, even though they encourage you to do so. That's not to say they can actually determine whether you have...

You have a cooling off period under the DSR anyway, so if you get a card you are not happy with for any reason you can return it.

Thankyou Porky this has been very grateful. I think after a week of head scratching. After my 9800 GX2 died!! I am going to get the OCUK 460 :P

Not allways true, i tried to do that myself abit ago, got told i could'nt, probably due to it being on a finance order. Not like it makes a difference if the card ur wanting to swap for costs less, and they allready have the money but hey ho.

I don't know how the Law works for items bought on finance, so maybe there is an exception there. But if you buy anything in the UK online (apart from custom items made to order, dvd's/games that have been opened etc..) then you are covered by the DSR.

As long as you send the item back in good condition so they can be re-sold of course.

If anyone orders one of those 1GB OcUK GTX 460s, could you post in here to say what brand one you got? Ta.
