My MAC code runs out in 1 day, as does my internet connection. I was with O2, but I'm being booted off for using too much bandwidth on my "unlimited" connection.

I've so far looked at ADSL24, TitanADSL and Plusnet.

I game, stream and download a lot. I'm worried that 25gb on peak wouldn't be enough, even though I'd get unlimited off peak.

Are there any other providers out there that I could have a look at? I'd like to spend no more than £25 per month.

If not, feedback on the three that I've mentioned would be helpful.

If it runs out in 1 day you have had it anyway as it has to be valid for the period of the transfer. ie 5 working days.

Since you can't sign up for UKOnline any more, you are kinda screwed. I'm looking for alternatives to my UKOnline atm because good as it is for downloading (no limits), they have some kind of screwed up UDP throttling that gives me terrible packet loss in TF2 (pings to any servers are fine and stable, but net_graph 3 shows 40+ loss most evenings)

If you are away during working hours, AAISP seems to be a good bet, because off peak starts at 6PM. Personally as i'm at home during this time it would work out too expensive to buy enough peak time allowance for normal net use.

The best I've found if you need peak time allowance is Plusnet Extra, £17.99/month gets you 60GB and unlimited midnight-8am. I don't know how good they are for gaming but they seem to have a decent rep and won some awards.
 
I was thinking of Plusnet, and whilst I've heard some good reviews, I've also heard some very bad ones.

It's crunch time today I guess. ;(

EDIT: Screw it, went with Xilo, they're the most competitive package imo.

How much per month did you download to get booted from O2? and I assume you where on their home access or whatever it's called (non-LLU) by your comments?

Looking at a new house, so I'lkl be subjected to non-LLU only, currently I'm still with O2LLU and download 100's of Gb/month..

80gb per month was my average, they phoned me to tell me to cut it down or leave.

There was a thread on here 1 or 2 weeks ago of people in a similar situation with O2 non-LLU, and a few of them downloaded less than me and still got the phone call!

I'll let you know how Xilo are in a weeks time.
 
How can you tell if your on LLU or not? I download a lot every month and had no phone calls or letters yet
 
I recently left O2 for Vivaciti! Downloads are 30GB peak and unlimited off peak including all weekend. I will just make sure to schedule my downloads during off peak hours. Think it comes to £19 altorgether.
