Hi all,
I've noticed that my rear brake discs have worn a couple of mm below the 'lip' around the outside of the disc, so I think it's time for new discs and pads.
I'd really like to do the work myself. I have a Haynes manual and although I wouldn't call myself an 'experienced mechanic' I did carry out a service earlier in the year which I enjoyed (nothing that technical, oil & filter change, plugs etc).
Is it that difficult to do? Or am I better off paying a garage to do it?
Also, how would I know that I've done it correctly- do the rear brakes only start working under heavy braking?
Thanks,
Rich
