Thinking of going for a 1gb 460 here, because of my faulty 8800gtx - if my card wasnt faulty, I wouldn't really want/need to upgrade.

Also If I went for the 768mb version it wouldnt be much of an upgrade imo. 8800gtx shares the same ram and rops as the 460, I know its not like for like when it matches up to final performance, but still...

Considering upgrading from my Superclocked gtx 260 but keep asking myself whether the performance percentage is worth it for the extra dosh.

Would opt for a pre-overclocked 1gb 460 if i did.

Honestly guys and girls, if you can handle applications you use currently, don't bother upgrading because when you need to, something better will be available.

460 is around 6% faster than a 280

keep what u have and save till you can get a card where youl notice a significant improvement

i wouldnt upgrade from a 260gtx or a 280gtx. you guys should consider upgrading to a 480 or a 5870 from a 260/280

Well I upgraded from a GTX260 (192sp) and noticed a big difference but that was with the Sonic Plat.

tbh im more inclined to get another 5870 for trifire (ive been told this adds at least 1" to ur epeen, just imagen how crazy the birds will go down the pub when i tell em ive 3 gpu's, theyl be all over me

we normally take them out the back and give them a good beating, unless there underwater @ 1100+/1300+ then we bow down and offer them our g/f as their never likley to encounter this phenomenal length of epeen again in their lives
