bit of a strange one this but i just wanted to know how perople stack there cup's/mug's/glassware's in your kitchen cupboard.

do you....
A-put them in as normal...ie-cup facing the right way...or
B-turn them upside down to stop dust getting into them.

my wife put's them in normal but ive always been taught to turn them upside down to prevent dust getting in them.

if a mod could turn this into a poll please that would be great.

just wanted to see if im weird or not :D

My girl friend is an upside down, I'm a right way up kinda man.

Had some salt in the cupboard when she put them that way last. You knew about it when you had a drink! Think I have talked her out of it now.

A.

With B, surely you get dust/dirt from the shelf all over the area that you drink from? I'd rather have a tiny bit of dust in the cup.

Exactly, always top up.

I rinse the glass out first anyway as they tend to taste a bit funny after being in the dishwasher.

They're in a cupboard, so the dust is pretty irrelevent. Our glasses have about a 12 hour wash-use cycle anyway.

For us, it's glass upwards. One less wrist action when pouring a drink :p ;)

Glasses the right way up. I've noticed some glasses that are kept the wrong way up can smell and taste musty if they aren't completely dry when put in.
Yeah, OP, you're a weirdo.

Top up. The shelf is far dirtier (in terms of bacteria) than the amount of dust that will gather in the glass/cup before u use it again! Consider how often you wash the glass compared to how often u wipe the shelf with anti-bac...

I voted glasses down, only because a place where i used to work was so dirty and disgusting that creatures (rats etc) would be in the building and very often would get up onto the shelves.

It really wasnt pleasant to see rats running along the tops of everone's brew mugs, so as an extra measure against disease as well as laying traps etc we started keeping our cups the wrong way up.

The wife hates me doing it, but if i dont i get paranoid about rats! :D

Properly.

However, people at the office have stacked the glasses on the kitchen upside down in the cupboard =\ :p
