Very tempted to pick one of these up... can get it for £180.... Then use my old one as a backup, but I am not sure it is worth it....

People ordering from shopto should expect it to arrive today I think.

I just tracked mine and it says its out for delivery today and has been since 9am.

Shame my data migration kit wont arrive till tomorrow - I'm not touching it until I know my saves and licenses will be ok.
 
Just been to one of my local computer game shops to cancel my pre-order (found a better trading in offer else where) and the guy was willing to give me my new 360 early there and then. Declined though, as I rather keep the extra £20 I saved for a night out also I don't mind waiting till the official release date.

Interesting. Is it supposed to do that? Migrate your licences fully to a new console?

EDIT: No. You still have to do it from the Xbox website - a once a year permitted action.

After your content is transferred to the new console, some content might still be associated with your old Xbox 360. Don't worry, you'll still be able to play the content on your new console as long as you are signed in to Xbox LIVE using the gamertag that originally purchased the content.

However, if you want to use all of your transferred content without signing in to Xbox LIVE or with a different gamertag, you'll need to transfer the content licenses to your new console. For information on how to do this, please go to www.xbox.com/drm.

Not sure what's happening with mine, assuming I'm getting it tomorrow. Website order page just says something like "Sorry, we have no status updates. Please call <number> for updates."
 
aparantly an american owned supermarket is doing the slim and either, Alan wake, international cricket 2010, or splinter cell conviction for £199.99 seems a good deal, gonna call up later to see if they are selling from midnight.

Well thats me excited about getting my new xbox. Just phoned and i can pick it up at 8am tomorrow morning! They tried to sell me a data transfer kit on the phone which gave me a bit of a laugh.

Had the same before I cancelled my pre-order from Game. Guy didn't even know you could now use USB sticks to save and transfer data.
 
Went into that overpriced music store today to trade in my elite to prepare for tomorrow :D. The extra space + wireless should come in handy, plus I'm a sucker for new technology :/
