Hello All

Am not sure if its something anyone can help me with but i will ask here anyway before i google it.

I want to run 8 tv's on freeview i have the tv's with built in freeview and my area can get freeview no problem with a normal arial

What am asking is how can i get it all to run of 1 arial or do i need 8 ? Can it be done with normal coaxial cable?

Anyone would be brilliant.
Thx

One decent arial, with good quality coax and an 8 way signal booster should do it if the signal strength/quality is ok:)

He doesn't need 8 remote senders!!!

Bad advice.

You can plug as many freeview boxes as you like into 1 arial by just splitting the coax cable. for example we have a 4 way booster on the loft that then goes to each room.

It is as simple as it possibly could be really.

Not like Sat which isn't passive so each box needs it's own cable/LNB.

And god knows what the other dude was on about with the remote senders, possibly getting confused with Sky.

Aye, we had our house wired up for 4 TV's (with the input from the aerial going to the VCR and then to the distribution box) nearly 20 years ago.

The only thing, is as I say make sure you use a decent aerial and cabling or potentially the signal may be too noisy/weak (a drum of good quality co-ax should only cost about £30, and good connectors only about 50p each).

nope its a care home for a friend of mine i am just helping him out. so with that booster i can have up to 8 tv's all watching different channels?

As long as each TV has it's own digital tuner, sure. You'll need quite a length of cable and some connectors too by the sounds of it.

This - Or two smaller aerials split into groups of four - with a signal booster on each.

Get an aerial contractor to check your signal and you may be OK with your one aerial or you might get a better overall system with two.

(Cliched as a guy on the Internet saying this is - my Dad is an aerial contractor and runs his own business)
