The only way to have a truely 'clean' start is to install Windows from an oem/retail DVD. Obviously this requires a lot of messing about though.
Alternatively, fire up program manager and remove anything you don't need. Sony do have a habit of adding programs (mainly surveys/feedback etc) to the scheduled tasks as well.
I have used this little program on a number of machines after having to recover them to their factory state from the hidden recovery partition (which recovers all the bloat as well).
To get rid of the Sony bloat you need a virgin copy of Windows 7 OEM with the Sony SLIC 2.1 inserted - this you add yourself at a click ( your motherboard already has SLIC 2.1) You then use your key stuck to the puter. Very easy. When you are finished you will have nothing but the OS on the puter
