What was the beep for?
Every time you power on and eject! Possibly when you power off too.

Managed to mess up my DRM transfer. Turned on my new console like it said, detected my old (and unregistered) Elite. Had to email MS hopefully they can sort it.
What?
Sorry, I cannot look at that site at work, what licenses are you talking about?
I am confused. Do you not just get your new console, sign into it and retrieve your old account and away you go?
It was never actually supposed to be a "slim" console, that's just what people started calling it so why so surprised over it being longer than the original 360?
and it feels more sturdy than the 'old' 360, certainly not cheap.
So what's the process for doing it? How did you mess it up?
I'm only interested as I might get a slim if HMV still do the good trade-in price at the end of July, and I would like to know what I need to do prior to getting my console.
Do you need both consoles next to each other? You talk about not registering your Elite?
Feels cheap flimsy and plasticy to me...
Its very quite though..
Could that be because it is plastic?![]()
Just didn't pay attention, and check the codes it threw at me, hence my I messed it up. It's simple enough, tells you to sign in on the new console and it'll detect it, it didn't! But hey, my fault for clicking next after that. Hopefully MS can sort it ut, else I have to wait a year... No, just upgraded my Premium to an Elite for the Jasper internals, didn't bother registering it, since I just used my old HDD anyway. Didn't need to trabsfer anything, new HDD demanded it, so I want it al set-up properly really, and need it to redownload some stuff, else adding it to the queue won't work.

Looking at Moogley's pictures, it does look like a piece of crap.
