Mitsubishi Legnum Super VR-4

We've still got the purple Legnum - you can see it hiding in some of the pics :) This one has replaced our other (non-turbo) Galant estate.

The engine is a 2.5 litre, 24 valve V6, with two turbos (TD-03). Produces about 260bhp at standard boost (~0.55 bar). This one has a mechanical boost controller, and is running at about 0.9 bar. Peak power might have gone up towards ~280bhp, but a bucketload more torque throughout the entire rev range!

A 5 speed tiptronic gearbox, mated to the 4WD system as found in the Evo IV-VI, which includes the AYC (Active Yaw Control) rear differential, which senses rotation of the vehicle, and splits torque between the two rear wheels to improve cornering ability and traction.

Oh yeah, I see it :)

What power did the purple car make again? I was well impressed with how well that thing went, despite being 4 up.

Shame on you for buying another tiptronic though :p

PART IV
Honest, here come the photos!

These cars have a new fan I Love it. Bit to much space between the arches though. ;)

It made just over 260bhp, but plenty of torque :) It's the grunt when it's loaded up that's impressive, rather than the overall power.

The Super VR-4's only came as the tiptronic - to show off the high-tech gearbox :)

Cool car, my DIY skills are limited, think the most impressive thing i've managed to do is open headlights for paint and then reseal them! Jealous of your DIY skills as its great if you have an older car

We've got a set of RX8 alloys in the garage, or we're considering a set of the original "option" 3-spoke wheels.

These might get refinished in a dark colour, too, probably not black, maybe "Rover Gun-Metal Grey Metallic", like I did with the wheels on my Prelude.

I'm sure at some stage we'll sort out the suspension :)
