It's Friday, why did the Mexican strangle his wife?

Haha good stuff. I'll tell you guys a *real* one though. Its not a joke it really happened and when I think back it still gives me a giggle. Ya'll wont find it insanely funny cuz you werent there but anyways....

When I lived in America I shared an apartment with 4 people. One of them was of Mexican origin, her name was Alita. She was one of the most pleasant & funniest people ever and all of us got on famously. She was born and bought up in the United States.

One time we're all in front of the TV scoffin on pizza when a news story breaks and they cut to a live feed from a news helicopter tracking a pickup truck speeding through the desert. In the bed of the truck huddled together and hanging on for dear life are about 7 illegal Mexican immigrants. They had made it across the border, were met by the pickup and were now hightailing it outta there....but got rumbled by a Sheriffs helo on patrol.

The helo-cam zooms right in on the truck and you can see all the people in the looking up at the helo. A bit of an uncomfortable silence descended on the room as we all tried to keep straight faces as the frantic commentary (you know what US TV is like!) screeched out from the TV goin on about how so many illegals get across and how the wall needs to be taller etc. etc. We were all gettin concious of Alita watching and wondering what she thought WE were thinkin.

Then suddenly she springs out of her chair, runs up to the TV screen and starts pointing to people in the back of the truck saying "Yaaaay! Theres gran'ma....and here eeeeez gran'pa.....and theeese here eeez my oncle.....and theeees here is mah bestest friend Marco.....aaaiand theese persone here used to my mothers best friend...aiiii!"

I almost choked on my pizza. I love people who can laugh at themselves.
