Anyone had recent success at selling your car recently. I've had 1 call in two days that came to nothing!!

Anyone sold their car on eBay one place I've not tried?

What other places are there, need a quick sell!!

WBAY....

yes trying to sell , not agressively thou, only on piston heads as well
been on a month not a sausage, put it on again 200 quid less, it'll go or I'll keep it not to bothered.

bullit

Yup ... have been trying to sell my Z4M coupe for about 6 weeks now ... not as much as a sniff!

Yeah since March time I think, made the decision to go to Uni a bit later on in life (22) so I am tightening my belt so to speak.

Shame really as its a nice car.

Generally speaking yes you're right! But to not even get a phone call when the car is listed below book price takes the michael somewhat. So many Subaru owners now break the cars, most STis as they can quite simply get more money for them broken!

Would you believe I get asked about once a month to sell my motor by random Young'uns. I've never had it before on any of my cars, Weird as this one owes me next to nowt.

Anyway as has been said if it's not selling it's to dear.

Are you sure it's the market and not your advert / price? People haven't suddenly stopped buying cars, the second hand market is very good at the moment. Unless you have a some 4.2 Supercharged V8 or have a very undesirable or specialist car.

Post your advert up.

I've always found AutoTrader to be most effective.

Sold my mk3 GTI Anniversary on Pistonheads yesterday for £1500; took two days!

Obviously it depends on how popular your car is, the condition, mileage and most importantly the price. If you want a quick sale then don't ask too much.

I also think peeps are tightening their belts at the moment so they're less likely to buy an expensive gass guzzler. Getting a Diesel myself.

Yellow is a funny colour on cars, generally speaking only someone who wants a yellow one will be interested (well duh...) compared to someone who say just wants an S3. Someone who jus twants an S3 and isn't too fussy on colour would probably look at silver, black, blue ones but maybe not a yellow one. I know what I mean anyway :)

Book price, and the price they are selling for though can often be quite far apart though.

Also depends on the car and location, can imagine selling an Impreza in Brum is a nightmare as it's not th ebest of postcodes insurance wise!

I noticed that about STis, saw a nice looking one on Scoobynet the guy was breaking all because he'll get more for it that way :(
