Medal of Honor Beta !

MoH in this 'beta' form is a highly polished fast fps that is great fun to play and runs extremely well on old machines. The 'beta' weapons currently have a lack of recoil which will be introduced and thankfully there is no nade spam, no snipe fests and no mass noobtubing.

It's brilliant, totally different from BC2 and I prefer it to CoD (not CoD2 which is still awesome btw) eagerly awating the full release specially as DICE are making the MP part of the game, and honestly can't find any faults with it so far.
 
Been browsing a few forums and the game doesnt seem to be too popular in general. Ive quite enjoyed it though and the objective mode is pretty promising and Im looking forward to seeing what else they have for it map wise.

Havent enjoyed a MoH game since UO but this one Im actually quite looking forward to now.
 
Have to say Im not a fan of the CoD style mortar and air strikes. Fair enough if I die due to my own carelessness or Im simply taken down by a better player but I hate dying in a situation I can do nothing about. Be nice if they were at least a little harder to get which would help cut down on the spam at times.
 
We should all know by now this has been deliberately designed not to be much like BC2, as that they would be shooting themselves in the foot.

It is clearly being done to destroy the COD series, and therefore own the entire war / FPS / multiplayer market.

I am not likely to be a massive fan after having played the Beta, but it is shaping up to be a lot better than MW2, that is for sure.
 
I was gonna cancel my pre order for this, but im prepared to give it a chance, besides im in need of a good single player fps, wasnt that keen on mw2 single or multiplayer.
 
Is it not possible to unlock proper scopes in the beta? Ive only played it as a sniper a few times, and the red dot sight is a bit rubbish.

I do believe it is, after you get a fair few kills with it, but getting those kills with the red dot is hella difficult. :(

find its not bad but man the crashes to desktop is peeing me off :(

winning early 31 for 10 then bang straight to desktop :confused:
 
I like to hold 'look down sight' view, not toggle it.

I like to toggle 'crouch', not hold it.

What is it with DICE and the crap controls?

This is one thing CoD does exactly as i like, and i find it more crucial to the enjoyment of my FPS games than DICE obviously do.

EDIT: i have been a tool. Ignore this whole post. Both have toggle on/off settings.
EDIT 2 : And its a pretty decent game actually ;)

Got to agree about the controls, I was playing Arma OA earlier, and was just constantly wishing that it handled like CoD, it would be so much better.
 
Here is my experience with the MOH beta.

I downloaded the game client.

I entered in my beta key, with joy and excitement.

I launched the game.

10 mins later, i wasn't playing it.
 
Just played this.

Feels horrible like I'm playing on an xbox (the button indicator for kill streaks even shows an icon of a controller D-pad - hilarious)
If the maps were any smaller I'd be standing in the enemy base
Looks worse than BC2 and runs worse too
ZERO recoil, absolutely no need to fire in bursts, the guns shoot lasers.

Need I say more? Terrible.
