Anyone over 30 still enjoy building lego?

I stopped playing with Lego when I was around 12, as if I remember correctly I just got bored and moved onto other interests etc. but sometimes I think that I would really love to get back into it again someday and how much fun it is and the random things that you can build with it. If I was presented with lots of lego now or a massive set to make, I would easily spent hours doing it!

Over 35 and still playing with lego. Collect just about everything except Star Wars sets.. Technic being my first favorite, closly followed by Creator houses, Architecture sets, Pirates, any trasnport vehicle.. especially the current crop of aircraft.. not forgetting the collectors sets such as Greengrocer, Market Street etc.. then there's Emerald Night (modeled after the Flying Scotsman).. and i'm the lucky owner of 2 Vestas wind turbine sets... and of course my 3 kids all think this is just great :)

Why do you ask ;)

37 and love lego...i blame my 7 yr old nephew whos mad for lego...got me addicted to them last yr when i went and spunked £80 on the ferrari F1 car...hes coming back again in August so looking forward to hitting the lego shop with him.

I don't personally at the moment, but I've a kid due late this year, and in a couple of years I'll be buying her/him lots to lego for me to play with.

It'll be like parent/child quality time, with them watching daddy build stuff.....

I'm 31, I bought the boyfriend this for his birthday last year was supposed to be complicated but built in less than 2 hours I did help

Is on the look out for more complicated ones, we also like airfix! Not a very girly hobby but who cares

best toy ever invented:D, got stacks of it at my house and love building with the kids. Still have a very discoloured and old racing truck up in the loft and the kids will not be getting hold of that!

I'm not 30 but if you don't enjoy building it atleast until you're 60 and beyond. You're an emotionless robot.

*plays with lego*

BTW whatever happened to the uniform 6 stump, 4 stump and 2 stump bricks that required imagination in order to build anything...wait they are here with me mwahaha...back in the day there was hardly any shaped or specific lego pieces they where uniform apart from a wheel here or there, roof tile, green lego board for the grass. Pieces from different sets could easily be mixed up together, hours of fun making houses and had wings, landing gears and octopus legs sprouting from everywhere.

My little brother and I got into an argument and proceded to build a wall between us in the living room so we didn't had to speak, it got 3 tile high and 10 foot long, spitting the living room in half, ended up using it it as batons cos we broke it

200 quid well spent...... not :P

Thing i liked about Lego was actually creating new things from it not just building the original model.

That Taj Mahal one looks crap you couldn't make a spaceship or a bi-plane out of it cos it looks like all the pieces are specialised shapes...

Might as-well buy an air-fix kit.

like wise that Star destroyer one... how could you build a taj mahal out of that .. all the bits are precut- pre shaped....
