lets just sat intel wins intel is best at everything , amd sucks , cant compete.

some people wont rest until they have forced there opinions on others.

No one is doing that, but theres so many comments in here about similar performance, and nearly the same. When as far as I'm aware and on a site like overclockers where we tweak mhz. A 10-15% difference is a lot!

We always say as overclockers, that 200mhz steps are the only ones worth noting. yes?

Well Lets say we have a 4ghz 1055t and a 4ghz 920. Whats 10-15% difference? Its a chunk, worth noting and worth paying for. Its not similar its not the same.

And why are people chatting like they're being bullied all of a sudden?

mmj uk was right when he said it depends if your overclocking or not.

I dont play games only edit and encode videos, from the benchmarks ive seen my 1090 beats the 920 in the multithread video encoding (stock speeds) ,i would love to see benchmarks with both chips running at 4.0 ghz and compare them.

sysmark 2007 video creation - 14.9% in favor of I7

sysmark 2007 - 3D - 8.14% in favor of I7

x264 HD encode test - 1st pass - x264 0.59.819 1.04% in favor of 1055t

x264 HD encode test - 2nd pass - x264 0.59.819 10% in favor of I7

Those are at 3.2ghz not 4ghz. Processor used was the 965 but as said already, other than clock speed its the same as the 920

No one is denying that? Some people wont want to pay the extra. Fair enough?

Indeed,

I was highlighting the fact that i7 gets a bad press in terms of cost,

When in reality it cost's less than you think compared to some of the HEX core rig suggestions in this very thread.

Now if someone has 600 to spend on a rig then 57 quid overall maybe fine for most when purchasing.

I was putting it out there.

You're right...If people don't feel the tiny bit extra is worth it then don't buy it. Its as simple as that TBH. :)

but if you're comparing i7 920 against 1055 then it's 2.66ghz (i7) v 2.8ghz (x6), so those results would be more relevant for i7 930 v 1055 where clockspeed are equal but that adds another £30 onto the cost of the i7 bundle.

The only post in this thread which was deleted was on the 13th of July, which was one of yours. However, that post of yours certainly wasn't deleted due to the moderating team being biased towards a particular company. The content of that post of yours was simply in response to another poster and questioning the manner in which they post, it had nothing to do with the AMD vs Intel discussion at hand. I just wanted to set things straight with regards to posts being deleted by the moderating team in this thread purely because they disagreed with that members opinion.

If you have had posts deleted in the past though and you felt there was no reason for them to be removed, feel free to email me with the details and I'll be happy to take a look. My email address can be found in the Who are Dons and Commissarios? section of the FAQ.

Anyway, above that, this thread isn't going any further so I'm going to close it. Thank you. :)
