Call of Duty: Black Ops

It doesn't mean that when you die you'r 5 or so kills from before will be added to the next 5 otherwise the game will be unplayable or at least I hope that is not what they mean in the mag.

That's exactly what they meant. The quote after it said "a recipe for disaster, surely?" I think a perk will be used for it.

What is so wrong about MW2 apart from Boosters on XBLive??

the game has major balance issues

1) stupid commando pro perk that enables people to teleport across the room
2) shotguns that can reach targets a good 25m away
3) a spawning system that often results in people dieing, then re-appearing straight back in front of you to die again completely helpless
4) a match making system that is completely non existent
5) a game hosting system that just doesn't work. Not picking players with 50mb connections and instead choosing hosts who choke up and drop host within minutes of getting it.
6) overpowered weapons - eg the UMP that is deadlier than most of the assault rifles.
7) sniper rifles that can be used whilst standing up and un scoped
8) one man army perk enabling people to noob tube all day long
9) map glitches that go documented on youtube but unfixed
10) terrible net code that means anybody who has Host effectively becomes god.
11) a lobby system that drops players from parties at random

Think thats about it :D

hope Black Ops is much better. Promising news on the number of people working on it.

Looking forward to this, especially the multiplayer. It sounds like a lot of thought and work has gone into addressing issues from MW2.

I hope they don't add in any stupid features that ruin it like the heartbeat sensor, thermal sights, akimbo, commando & tactical knife in MW2.

Rumours buzzing around that its going to be pay to play (of some kind anyway) for multiplayer.

Not good =(

i know where that came from and its not true. Chief of infinity ward said he'd like to enhance the game by adding content that he could only do on a monthly fee system

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3174797

he can dream, as it will never happen. He said he'd like to, not that he could. Dont worry, as Black Ops is a Treyarch game, not infinity ward as infinity ward is now all but dead when most of its staff left for EA.

Actually, the murmurs are saying that Activision are pushing for it on all of their multiplayer titles now.

IW are finished, I as well as every single one of my gaming friends will never buy a game by them ever again.

The Activision rumor of charging to play COD has been doing the rounds since this time last year. I don't think it will happen, they must already be making a killing through DLC with £10 a pop map packs.

I think what we might see is something more akin to what other publishers are using now to stop pre-owned sales, such as in Battlefield where you get the VIP code that comes in the box to unlock content.

That way they can charge anyone wanting the full multiplayer experience who bought it preowned.

I simply wouldn't buy an activision game if that happens. Unless the game was free to start with and the monthly fee was fair.Fair meaning £5 a month or so.

So he's saying the $billion they made wouldn't be able to pay for that?

Its Activision that are getting greedy, i work close to this industry and found out the other day 75% of people on xbox live play MW2 and Activision are upset that they dont get any of are £40 a year for our live subscriptions.

Microsoft will not bow down to this and Activision are going to try and make the multiplayer aspect of the game chargeable. Whether or not they succeed is another story but this is what i have heard from a very good source.

There is no way in hell I'd ever pay Activision to play multiplayer on top of the £40 M$ rob me for every year! Greedy ****s.
