Currently I have a CM elite 335 enclosing the rig in my sig. I quite like to treat myself and improve temps by moving to a cooler, user friendly and better upgradeable case. I would like the case to be pretty quiet.

I'm prepared to spend no more than £80 (inc delivery) for my new case which I will order in the next two weeks. Would prefer not to buy any new fans.

This is my shortlist:

Antec 902: Best for cooling but I don't like the hard drive orientation. I heard it is also a bit noisy.

CM 690 II Advanced: Nicest looking sleek case, but cooling performance not so good?

CM HAF 922: Fair cooling, not as good as the antec 902 but more space to work with and space for good cable management.

CM storm Scout: Cheapest case(~£60), useful top handle. Tight fit for the GTX 260 so future upgrades more difficult.

Would be nice if you guys can give reasons why you would go with any of the above cases over the other and why. Currently I'm running with the idea of the HAF 922 due to the space inside to work with.

I bought the haf 922 earlier this week. lots of room to work with and cable management is very easy. i really liked the hard drive enclosure. very easy to install and sturdier than it looks. i haven't had any problems with airflow but there are a few more slots for fans. if the LED lighting is important to you id recommend putting cathodes in because the intake fans LEDs are not very bright imo. i found everything very easy to install, a lot easier than the antec 900. the psu can be mounted the right way up due to vents in the bottom which helps with cable management.

I have the CM 690 and think it's a great case. Very easy to work with and good for cooling, my pc now runs much cooler than it ever did in my old cosmos pure case. The only problem I've found for me personally, I don't think you could fit a 5870 or above. I've got a 5850 and it's a tight squeeze.

But all in all a good case.

Thanks for the response guys, looks like a tough choice as all 4 are good choices.

I don't particularly want flashy LED's as that will annoy me at night. Leaning towards the HAF 922 due to its size.

HAF 922. It's a brilliant case to work with. But I heard the CM 690 II is also a brilliant case, guess it just comes to personal preferances between the two.

The TT element G is certainly a nice feature set case but I wouldn't go over by £80 budget at all especially for a less well regarded brand.

About the Antec 902: Can you turn off the the LED's for the front fan's? How is the cable management like, especially with the drives in that orientation?

Hey, you can't turn off the LEDs. I owned an Antec 902 and wasn't very impressed with as you mentioned, the way the HDD's go in and the cable management is terrible compared to the HAF 922.

I'd stick with the HAF 922 if I were you.

As pointed out you can't turn the LED's off ..but you can cut wire if they annoy you that much or replace fans for ones without. Cable management is easy ... if I look inside my side window I struggle to see a sata cable or power connection from my hard drives. I also own a Coolermaster ATCS 840 and find cable managemnet on this (902) to be as good :)

HAF 922 !!:D I own one for my first build and it is brilliant. I love the industrial/military look and airflow is amazing. It is big for a mid tower case and has plenty of room inside. It can easily fit 5970;)

I personally have the CM-690 and I love it to pieces. I have built many PCs in all sizes of cases, some servers and some smaller Lian Li cases and I have found the CM-690 the best case I have ever purchased. I have no experience of the other cases myself but I cant fault the CM-690. The cooling has been reported as an issue, but it gives you so many options to upgrade. I currently still use the standard fans supplied and never had an issue with cooling. My 2 cents. :D
