So how many people have been swayed by the BETA to purchase the game? ;)

I know that I am seriously considering it, I have about 10 hours so far and am thoroughly enjoying it. :)

I'm unsure if there's already a thread of this sort, but I don't think there is. I apologise if there is.

I hated it to begin with, but like it a lot more now. It really is BC2 but in what appears to be call of duty maps. Thats some peoples idea of hell but I think it works alright, non destructable enviroments when I first played seemed like a step back, but now I have played it, it does add more to the game while detracting in other areas imo.

I agree with the destructible environment point. I feel that in BC2 it was a little bit OTT, like you literally had 0 cover after about 5 minutes of the game starting, due to snipers going mad with mortars and people spamming armour into the buildings etc...

If they added a little bit of destructibility, like maybe a few selective walls and growth etc then it would add to the enjoyability.

So do people actually like this game now? will it be a hit upon release? its about time a game challenge cods fast pace arcade FPS style game.

Not tried it yet but as a former BC2 player (quit due to getting bored) and a COD MW player I am intrigued to peoples opinions on this atm.

Its a definite buy for me but Im not sure how much that has to do with the fact that its the first FPS Ive played in quite some time. Not having played BC2 and not having bought MW2 due to the dedi server issue this actually feels fresh and fun to me.
Really like the objective mode, the weapons Ive tried felt solid, no single class seems to dominate and you generally dont have to empty a whole mag to put someone down.

Im sold on the mp and if the single player is good that'll be a nice bonus. Will probably pickup BC2 in the meantime, much as I love the vehicle combat its nice to get a break from it and Im sure MoH will fill that gap nicely.

ive just played it for 1st time
1st thoughts is MW2, gameplay is almost identical, I love the fact you can be taliban in their native clothes.
Other than this BFBC2 will still be getting my full attention

I'm feeling a bit "meh" about this one. When the recoil gets added I'll be able to make more of an informed decision, it's all a bit too easy (particularly for snipers) at the moment.

I'll probably buy it for the single player. It won't take much to beat CoD on this front but I think the multiplayer is looking less "pick up and blast" compared to CoD. This is the advantage of using a quake-based engine.

I'll buy it if the SP warrants it, but based on the beta I doubt I would buy it for the MP. So I'll be waiting for the reviews, particularly player reviews.

I dont get this 'to buy or not to buy' nonsense. It will be 30 quid maximum for a hard copy and for that price you will get a playable single player and a decent but not perfect multiplayer. 30 quid is nothing for a game like this.

To some people that's a lot of money for a game that may not particularly satisfy their wants in a game.
