Sorry if this is really vague but its all i can remember
It's set in america, but I have no idea where. All these main characters are white.
Im pretty sure the film starts with a couple of kids finding a gun in an abandoned car.
On of the kids takes the gun and keeps it.
When the kids grow up, the one who kept the gun gets involved in crime with this local crime bad-ass type, doing jobs for him and getting paid.
He tries to get his friend involved but he doesnt want any of it.
Eventually his friend gives in and they use his butchers shop as a place to come and beat/cut people up who owe money.
The good guy gets some trouble from a nasty local tough guy in a restaurant when he's with his girlfriend (i think) and in a few other places.. and at some point gets shot some how, when he is running away. (does'nt die, just an arm wound or something)
His friend (the one 'on the wrong side of the tracks') notices he is really frustrated and persuades him to take revenge.
They kidnap the nasty guy, and take him out to a sandy car park/bank.
The guy who got shot by this bloke wants to shoot this guy, but his friend (the one involved in crime, who's killed people before) takes the gun off him and does it himself, so his mate doesn't have to deal with murdering someone.
