my step son left his phone and hat on a table when leaving the club he works at last night! its not their today when he goes in at the same time as the manager.

phone was used at 6:41am this morning lol the cleaner is on cctv stealing it :D

hope his job was worth stealing a sony ericcson experia :p

why do thieves always use the phone aswell? the guys clearly took the sim card out because the phone goes straight to answer machine so he obviously wasnt intending handing it in so hes got no excuses.

Sure it's not been handed into the police? It is Sunday today.

Edit, gotta be honest though knowing a few cleaners they do tend get a lot of trophies. I met this guy (as odd as it sounds) who was one for some uni halls around here and the spoils he got were pretty impressive. Stereos, laptops etc., were all left behind at the end of the year.

why would they use it if they were going to hand it in to the police? if they were going to hand it in anywhere it should have been to the owner of the club surely? yet they didnt and the owner had to check cctv to see who took it

Thats what I love about living here... I have lost my wallet and phone twice, once on the street and another time in some random place in a club and they ALWAYS come back to me, ards and money intact. :D

He might not have stole it. If the CCTV showed him looking at it but then leaving it there and then some unknown person taking it, what would have said to that? If you or the police get straight on to him, all he will say is that it's his job to clear away items left and that he was going to hand it in, which may be true.

He/she would hand it in to the club... all clubs have that policy. You never take it out of the club.

If it's a club then he probably arrives and leaves the club when it's closed, seeing how he is a morning cleaner.

surely if your a cleaner and you find something valuable while cleaning your not suposed to take it with you?

boss found out some 2litre bottles of vodka have disapeared aswell...

Cleaners don't seem very reliable or honest... we got rid of one for being lazy and had to prosecute 3 (2 of them at the same time - brothers) for theft where I work in the last few months.

Although in this instance it does sound as though it's been nicked, it would be plausible that they used the phone to try and contact the owner (e.g. look for recent contacts and ask who's phone it is, look for an entry like "mum" or "dad" etc...
