My new Audi

Nice!

Surprised to see an A8 specced with TV but no phone. Are you sure it doesn't have BT? You can only pair your phone within the first few minutes of turning the ignition on - scan for BT devices from your phone and see if it comes up (will be obviously named as "Audi..."). Security code will be 1234 or sometimes 0000.

Same shape and age as the one I had. I hope it treats you better than mine did though.
Saying that, I'd gladly have another.

Lovely, that's my kind of car :) I'd have bought a petrol one personally, but I've heard only good things about the 8 cylinder Audi oil burners.

Awesome car! High on my list once i get settled in new job as wont be doing miles anymore and i loved my S8 i had years ago. Uncle has one and just so comfy to do miles in.

Brilliant buy for the cash aswell.

Nice one, ill give that a try tomorrow.

Had a good trip today and was quite a joy to drive. Went down to Barrhill on the coast through Ayr and back... was quite happy cruising.

Found today that the wheel moves up when you take the key out and the belts are elec adjusting too. Also found some cup holders hidden in the rear arm rest. Id much rather a nice paper manual

seconded

theres something very fun about reading the manual on your brand new (to you) car and finding out all the little things it can do.

Keep getting tempted by the A8's to replace the 330d.

How do you find the economy, power delivery, and overall refinement compared to the 3.0d?

Ecomony isnt far away actually.

On a reasonable run, im getting just under 40... but sitting in traffic seems to be far worse as expected. Overall, although ive not had it long id estimate 10% worse overall. Its very lazy so I dont seem to push it as much.

Power delivery is hindered by the auto box, but it is much more refined. Performance is better, but it feels slower.

Very happy so far

Beautiful car Axeboy, something like this would be an absolute dream for me to own. However I am very scared of the running costs of a car like this.

Hope you enjoy it - very jealous over here:)

If it's anything like some other Audi Alloys, then parts of it are diamond cut (looks like the inside of the spokes on yours?).

It just makes it look a bit prettier, and more expensive to get refurbed (and they can only re-cut them a few times).

Those do seem a bit on the grey though, maybe just a once over with wonder wheels (could just one use do much damage?) then some sort of alloy wax to protect them?

Nice choice.

I drove the new A8 D4 a few weeks back and was very impressed so asked about what they would give me for mine. Had an email last week, just thought some of you would be interested in the luxo-depreciation...they offered me their 4.2TDi SE demo. So the spec -

...£69k. Leaving a balance of £43k. The car is not 3 months old and 2k'ish miles. It's almost painful.
