ATI Catalysts download link was 10.6, is now 10.5?

Few issues with 10.6 so it probably got pulled.

Ah i see, bit daft pulling it when 10.7 is due in the next few days. Heres to hoping the buggers have opened up the EDID info for different brand identical res monitors in Eyefinity

LOL it just this second changed back to 10.6.. They are toying with me!!!!!

They weren't when the OP posted - I checked and it was definitely only linking to 10.5 - seems back to 10.6 now tho odd.

Can't you just use rivatuner to pull out the EDID info, rewrite a generic inf and use that on each display?

It looks at the monitors. I've tried fiddlng with reg values but everytime i reboot the monitors go back to normal. I suppose i could edit and reflash the EDID info to the monitors to force them to report the same sizes but flashing my monitors are a no no. I'll wait and see what ATI do. If they don't with 10.7 i'll be flashing both my 2407's to report the same size as my 2408

** This actvity on the download site teases me into thinking they are gonna put 10.7 up any mo now lol i'm a watchin' **

10.7 have been floating around for a while already. In fact if you have them and fancy a google you can find the pre-release build of vlc for gpu acceleration. However, bugs :(

those are fake by ATIMAN and are a tweaked 10.5a driver

Probably. Given the issues with recent "official" releases I've avoid anything pertaining to be a beta, I like to have the same bugs as everyone else :)

I'm running 10.6 with no issues! FINALLY!

The only ones to support the 5830 were 10.2, 10.5, 10.5a and 10.6. 10.2 worked alright for me, then 10.5 and 10.5a were pants, and now 10.6 seems pretty good.

Just wish ATI would learn to test their drivers before releasing them... I upgraded to 10.5, then a few days later 10.5a, then a few weeks after that 10.6, now again, couple of weeks later we're hearing about 10.7.

Just test the drivers properly before releasing them! It really can't be that hard if most hardware manufacturers can manage it...

Oh dear - It seems as if I'm using atiudag 8.14.10.0761 (Catalyst 10.6) Win7 64

If this driver package is steam filled as some are suggesting then what should I be using ?

/checks for updates

The issue seems to be that either you have no problems with 10.6 (I am running them on windows7 64 bit wiht no issues) or they are a handful of trouble.

If they work bug free for you no point in using anything else.
