I've recently been told about TomTom's ITN files and want something similar for Google Navigation. I've had a play and discovered you can make a map on Google Maps on the PC and then save it to MyMaps which displays on your phone, but I can't find a way to 'navigate' it? Has anyone tried this? If not I think I will just go out and buy a proper Tomtom...

Thanks. :)

Once saved in Google Maps Load Maps on the phone then:

Layers menu > More layers button > My maps > Your saved map location

Once it shows up on the map click the blue navigate to arrow button.

You'll only see this option if you've enabled the Labs (Menu via Maps) feature for Bubble Buttons to do so:

Excellent. Many thanks for the reply. You don't happen to know if it will automatically go to the next point on the route? i.e. the my maps is made out of destination A, B, C, D, E, F and G. So once I've navigated to A, will it then move onto point B?

You can see if it will by initiating Navigation to your map and then clicking the top bar when it's calculated the route then click the right arrows to follow the route virtually.

I think I will give it a test run locally instead of the route I have planned then! (30 odd miles to the start point).

Edit: Just tried above and it didn't...
