re:

nvidia release way too many drivers
this is like the second in less than two weeks

and people moan about ATI releasing drivers once a month

 oh dear how people moan, same old same old. fanboyism strikes again.... is it not possible to post anything Nvidia in these forums anymore without the ATI brigade posting negativity?

With a fair few card releases just recently lately I guess that`s why we are getting a fair few releases ;)

Great to get this sort of support:)

Cheers

not an ati fanboy, I use nvidia, hence why I'm annoyed that they release driver updates so often, why can't they just do one every two months or whenever a new card is released which provides a ridiculous increase in performance each time instead of just a tiny increase each time

How releasing new drivers can ever be a problem is beyond me. How about...only installing new drivers every 2 months which seems to be a time span you're comfortable with.

i'm going to ignore your opening remark as it's a very poor try to raise an argument.

my point was ATI release drivers once a month which is excellent support. Now Nvidia are releasing drivers just as often that is also good.

but in the past the green team have constantly slated ATI for this believing that their drivers are poor hence the need to update each month. But now Nvidia are doing it everyone says it's excellent support.

personally driver support is critical for everyone who wants the best out of their system as all Nvidia and ATI are trying to do is squeeze more juice out of their cards to compete with each other.
It's win win for us ATI/Nvidia users so why should we argue about it?!

+1
Some people get satisfaction in having or believing that they have something better than someone else, being happy with what they have bought is not enough for them.

While what you say there is correct and the right view to have in my opinion, your furst post did not come across as meaning anything like that.

Read the drivers release notes. They clearly state they add support for new graphics cards. You dont have to update each time a new driver comes out. If it aint broke don't fix it...

yeah from 257.21 which got me about 9800 on 3d mark on my 260gtx oc to these 258.96 and got 11200'ish so yeah improvement, atleast in 3d mark.

running 100% res in arma2 with these does feel better :)

These have caused my previously perfectly stable overclock (SLI480's 900 core 4400mem) to artifact like a *******. Rolling back to 258.69 fixes the artifacting.
