I'm getting more FPS usin only 97% of my i7 and 2 less cores :p

Thats why this file is flawed...You get 100% on your 1090T and I get 97%

Thats why we need a file that will work the cores 100%

In essence I'm giving you AMD boys a fighting chance! :D

there both doing the same workload :P

same as in x264 amd were faster :P same workload one cpu was just better than the other

but still doesn't use 100% so easyrider will say its crap.

why are you encoding it as a MP4 file?

And your CPU usage is 45%

hardly a test for a cpu benchmark

BTW I have no idea what codec was used on that file as it will not play on my PC either I just get audio

All other AVCHD files play back flawlessy

Vegas 9 won't even import it :p

lets make this simple easyrider fella - NO, its not worth upgrading from an i7 920 to an X6 if you already have an i7 - Theres not much in it tbh. stick with what you've got till the next stuff from amd/intel.

happy? :P :)

Can one of you guys with the intel 920/930 post up a screenshot using handbreak and the silver surfer trailer file,im curious to see what fps you get,
dont care what percentage of the cores its using tbh.

they are all to busy in the other thread posting nonsense because they want to hide from this thread where x6 is showing itself as the king of cores

100% of the CPU only shows optimum speed. Aslong as across the test all settings are the same, and the software is the same. Then the results can be used to compare, whatever the CPU usage. :)

Totally agree with you, come on intel people, post your screen shots up using handbrake and the silver surfer file, lets see how much faster the 920 chip is running at 4.0ghz.
