A woman in the office is getting married in May next year and is looking for a good wedding photographer (Raymond you live too far away (but if you want to drop me an email with your costs / travel expenses I can pass it on)) preferrably in Scotland (North East). Can anyone recommend any?

My mate recently got married and although the guy took some cracking shots when i saw the link to all (and i mean all) the shots he took during the day I wasn't too impressed (why would you let guests see the crap shots as well as the good ones?).

Angus and St. Andrews are hardly 'north east' :p.

In Wick at the moment, now that's north east ;).

When you say all the shots, do you mean every single one taken on the day? I'd imagine from a full day of shooting there will be some duffs. No one can make every single shot taken over a day be amazing.

Ditto, my keep rate (or the rate the number of photos on the disc) so far is about 1/3 to 1/4 (depending how trigger happy I am at some situation like confetti or how many I take during group shots and drop the blinkers). Those gets deleted anyway to save HD space too since the "perfect" one would look identical in everyway apart from the blinking. Blur/missed focus ones also gets dropped, happens when the camera picks the wrong subject to focus on. Same for camera shake, Canon uses 1/focal length and people move...

Derek, will drop you a line but that could be too expensive for her after my travel and other expenses! I think i would be traveling by plane to get there, and then some kind of train or road transport from the airport to the venue.

Angus is north east, really anything from aberdeen to dundee is. Wick, been there once and bloody hell thats miles from anywhere! I'd class that as North North and a bit further north :p

And yes he took 430 images and thats how many he's uploaded to his host site. A few double / triple / quadruple images which i thought was a waste and a few which looked a bit amateurish as well.

I suspect you will be as well because of the added travel / accommodation you'd need to get for coming this far. No harm in quoting though :)

Will pass on that site link to her as well booyaka. Looks quite promising although I do know she quite likes the candid style of shots of the bridal party and guests and after a quick look through a lot are more formal, not to say that you're friend cant adapt his style of course.
