Played through it late last night till 4am .... very fun game :)

It is a hybrid of L4D squadplay with a more 3D "Alien Breed"-esque top-down view with a slight angle. The atmosphere is definitely in the vein of Alien Breed and the movie Aliens (the 7 level first campaign is almost the same plot as Aliens!) ..... you will find yourself quoting that movie a lot ;) Finished normal and then we got up to the last level of hard difficulty before we had to pack it in for sleep ;)

It is definitely recommended that you use teamspeak or ventrilo for this ... and a medic is essential. Later levels require a tech guy for hacking stuff (last few from what I recall).

The source code is released for people to create new levels so even though the campaign might be shortish (about 1-2 hours playthrough), content will be available.

If you have problems downloading it, me and my mates changed locations through "Settings" and then the "Downloads & Cloud" tab. I had success with Romania while another mate used Indonesia. Don't forget to change it back to your local (eg. UK)
 
I think unless they do a ut2k4 "community maps" pack evry so often they've killed this with only one official campaign as it will depend on people all dling the same maps otherwise.
 
Cant connect to games at all, it either fails with retries or just dumps me back to the menu.

On the 2 occasions i did connect, as soon as I select a character im dumped to the menu, oh and 1 other connection saw me spectate a game.... whats the point of that :(

You only spectate when you have been killed before joining the game. When the other players eventually die, you will be able to play.

Servers were hammered upon last night hopefully when I get home tonight It should be better.

Great to see mod developers getting a chance to show thier stuff with a backing, gotta love Valve.

yeah we can sort some servers out for OCUK, we have a Dual L5520 xeon (8 actual cores) 24 gig monster sat in killercreation so I think its up to it

Yep played a game earlier, i died because someone was runninga round me so i didnt shoot my shotgun, incase i killed them, but the following games worked out well, but i was still at the top for friendly fire.
 
Just played the first 3 or so levels and it's great! Looks fantastic and very smooth, might get dull quite quickly though, needs more campaigns.
