So I'm finally coming to the end of BSG on BR, and I've popped the last disc in and I've been presented with:

Daybreak Pt 1
Daybreak Pt 2+3
Daybreak Extended Unaired episode.

Can someone in the know tell me which to watch please? Is the extended episode parts 1+2+3?

Cheers :)

I watched the Daybreak Extended unaired episode, it contains all the parts with extra's. So don't worry!

You'll notice that throughout all the Blu-Rays, they always had the original episode, then the extended ones (where applicable) next on the menu.

The final episode is no different, so go and enjoy it! :)

Cheers for that chaps.

Sadly I have to wait until my mate is free again before we can finish it off, we've been doing BSG Tuesdays (and Saturday arvos were permitting) and catching a couple of episodes each time. Got the box set for my birthday back in March and we're just drawing to the end. Gift that keeps on giving!

Really sad to be finishing it though, it's been a complete rollercoaster from start to finish with some amazing twists and epic space battles. Going to sorely miss the shocked look from one of us as the credits roll then the oh-so-familiar menu music on the BR disc at the end of every episode. :(

I know the feeling matey, been BSG-less for about 2 weeks now, pretty much watched an episode a day for a couple of months :(

T'was an awesome show.

Maybe you should watch 'The Plan' afterwards if you haven't already got it. Shows the first 2 seasons from the Cyclon perspective. Quite interesting, though not a patch on the show or other TV movies i thought.

I'm waiting till Caprica is released on disc for my next BSG 'universe' fix!

As soon as I finished the finale I went back and started watching it all over again. I just feel compelled to rewatch it whenever I see that last episode. It's bloody brilliant.

Sadly not many will - but caprica is best watched at the season break in series 4 - you see the last half in a whole different light which kinda works tho wasn't intended it especially adds some interesting perspective to the finale.

Such an incredible show, with an absolutely ridiculously awesome finale. Only Lost is on the same page as BSG imo, I'd be hard pressed to choose between them. I can't wait until I've forgotten enough of either to watch them again.

EDIT: I wouldn't bother with The Plan, it kinda ruined the end of the show for me. Your on a big high after the finale and then The Plan basically adds nothing at all and is generally boring. You'll of figured out all the stuff The Plan 'reveals' if you were vaguely paying attention to the show.

But Caprica's only on a mid-season break at the moment, so how can you make that judgment that it's best to watch it then, when it's only half way through a season?

I'm sure it's best to watch it after to be honest, or on a second run through of BSG perhaps.

I don't get what you mean by 'Sadly not many will', do you mean watch 'The Plan' or?

Aye i kind've agree, i do regret it a bit, but, i needed something!

I mean at the season break in BSG season 4 - stop watching BSG - watch the first season of caprica and then go finish off BSG. Theres a lot of philosophical stuff in the last half of season 4 that the significance of/full understanding would otherwise be missed (unless your much more switched on than I am).

We were saying tonight that we could see ourselves revisting the box set in the not too distant. My Mrs keeps walking by as we're watching it and getting drawn in so she's decided she's going to watch the lot. (Personally I think it was my screaming "GO ON MY SON!" at a certain epic point, *spoiler* Galactica entering the atmosphere, dropping the Vipers then jumping out! *spoiler* that might have done it.) :D

See I wasn't that phased by Lost, but stupidly I was expecting something more concrete (lol, from a JJ Abrams related show...) so ended up being disappointed. For me BSG is in a completely different league, it's got the best bits from Voyager with a gritty and real world take, not to mention Grace Park. Boiiiiiing.

We'll still watch the plan, we've saved Razor as well as I got a bit confused with what order to watch it on so on a snap decision we've saved it to catch at the end. The idea was to reminisce but from what I've been reading we really should have caught it mid-season where it was placed in the box. Doh.

Missed that boat, but definitely going to give it a watch. I do hope they don't cancel it before it's had a chance to develop. I read somewhere it's being funded entirely by Syfy Channel...?

That was awesome.

Pegasus is probably my favourite episode. I love the scene where The Chief and Helo are racing to find Sharon. Probably the most exhilarating piece of television I've seen in a long time.

I wasn't hugely impressed with the Finale! It was good, i mean, it tied everything up I guess but parts just don't really make sense. I'm also curious as to what became of the enormous, world destroying cylon fleet that is still floating about up there somewhere.

Some of the season finales were better though. Season 3 had the best episodes. The first two and finale were truly, truly epic.

Epic show is beyond epic!

The spoiler mentioned previously is pretty much the coolest thing to happen on a tv show EVER.

Best moment of any TV program is the history of TV ......... ever

What i love in the show is the attention to detail. That manover wasn't a free pass, it hurt the ship and the repercussions of that (and other battles) are felt later in the show. As the epsiodes go by the galatica looks more and more beat up. Scars are there for good and there's no reset button

I'm really tempted to buy the compete Blu Ray collection - but the fact it doesn't have the plan and that I own season1 - 3 on DVD kind of puts me off. Then again, I didn't realize that the blu ray versions contain extended episodes. Is it just a few minutes here and there?

Theme tune is one of the most memorable. Theres a few longer remixes of it on youtube that aren't entirely hideous.
