Oh now this just sucks.

Happened to my housemate. She was on a full bus home from work, had to get the driver to stop and she got out and puked all over the pavement in front of a full bus. He drove off. Lols.

I think your situation is pretty grim. :/
I would suggest staying away from the danger zone for a bit, like going to a friend’s house but, chances are: you are already infected.

Actually, Alcohol gel is far more effective than soap alone. Water does not wash off bacteria. Use the hand gel with hot water and soap to be sure. Not just one or the other.

Also, it's airborne, so you don't just catch it from sick of poo. You can catch it from sitting on the same toilet seat as someone who has had it. The bacteria then crawl up your anal passage and that's that!

"Altight mate, can i come and stay at yours for a bit?"

"sure - whats up? problems at home?"

"yea something like that :D"

I feel bloated and a little constipated. This could be the start! I've been washing my hands whenever I walk past the sink or do anything.

If you have one of those desk chairs with the lower part of the back missing, just attach a bucket to it, no need to rush up to the bathroom :).

Kazz's Top Tip No.82

No do not use hand gel products in the case of Norovirus. Alcohol based hand gels are next to useless against Noro, the only effective means to decontaminate hands in this case is Soap & Water.

Use the 6-Step technique

1.Palm to palm.

2.Right palm over left dorsum and left palm over right dorsum.

3.Palm to palm, fingers interlaced.

4.Backs of fingers to opposing palms with fingers interlocked.

5.Rotational rubbing of right thumb clasped in left palm, then vice versa.

6.Rotational rubbing, backwards and forwards with clasped fingers of hand in left palm then vice versa.

Also keep the toilet area clean and wash all eating and drinkin utensils in hot soapy water.

Virus particulate aerosols ;)

I must tell this to people 5 times a day at work. It seems the majority of people in hospitals (Employees and Visitors alike) are unable to maintain a good level of hygiene.

No really, against Noro most are not unless they contain benzalkonium chloride. Not many Trusts in the UK are using gels that contain it as standard and most people would not know to look for it on a product they have bought for themselves. Correct and diligent hand washing is still the most effective method to reduce the risk of spread.

My god do people really need a bullet list to learn how to wash their hands these days?

Unfortunately yes :( and that's just in Hospitals :( :(

Disagree. Read any hospital guidelines for DV. They will advise on washing with soap and water, and not to use alcohol gel.

I suppose there is nothing stopping you using alcohol gel after you have fully washed with soap and water, but it would seem a bit pointless.

Be prepared to be firing from both ends, ooh you're going to be having fun tonight. ;)

Had it a while back, including the vile taste of bile and eggy burps along with it, i was not a happy bunny. :D
