Just found this old graphics card in the loft...

I'm sure I still have my first graphics card, a Diamond Stealth 64 of some sort at my mums. I also still have the power VR 3D accelerator card I bought that was then no longer supported about 6 months after I bought it and the original 80MB HDD that came with it. The whole PC had 4MB of Ram and I was seriously considering another 4MB which would have set me back close to £100 at the time! All paired up with a 15" monitor and a 486 DX/2-66. It cost me £1152.64 from an old PC chain called ESCOM. I played X-Wing and Tie Fighter for hours on that. Sigh, good times, other than trying to get a bootdisk to let TIE Fighter work properly!

The Creative 3D Blaster Annihilator Pro is my "precious" it's boxed and sealed and has never been opened or used ! A brand new old card....

I had the Creative 3D Blaster GeForce 3... what a card that was... it was based on the Ti200 design but uprated memory and clocked to ti500 speeds out the box... I never did find how far it would overclock as the drivers at the time cut off at +40% on the sliders and it did all of that stable.

Must admit this card was before my time, so what can it play? :D

pong? asteroids? UT99?

Quake1, Jedi Knight2. Some old flight sims. Final Fantasy 7 iirc. Tad slow for quake2 multiplayer. Just about managed Unreal (original single player before unreal tournament) and DeusX.

Still got mine somewhere.

I had the Orchid Righteous in tandem with a Matrox Millenium, best of both worlds. Remember Matrox? Was the king of 2D cards at the time.

Funnily enough I was having a clear out of some shelves which have just been clogged with crap for years and I found my Orchid Righteous 3D manual.

Kept it of course, you never know when it might come in handy :).

I just remembered I found this the other day, anyone know what it is ?
