How do you record them?

I work casually, so I can be called in to work at any time, I'm looking for a nice simple way I can store these - Online.
Tried spreadsheet, but not sure if it's the way I've laid it out or not, but it looks a mess!

Any suggestions?

inb4 Diary, I'd like to keep it online so I can check anywhere :)

Do you use Microsoft Outlook?

You could just put the times and dates you work in your calendar as an appiontment?

Yeah they'd probably be best going into a calendar. Google Calendar should do if you don't have outlook.

Yeah, I use Googlemail, totally hadn't noticed the Calendar function before :o would be cool if you could somehow automatically have your total hours for that week in a box or something. But that's pretty cool!

yeah, 8am to 9pm 7 days a week.

:-(

That's a long shift, not an odd shift! :p

Can you use Google Calendar with the HTC Desire?

Yes. The Calendar directly links into your gCal account.

There should be some videos from Google about if you're unsure how it all works.

Alternatively, back onto the spreadsheet idea. Why can't you just have a sheet setup with the 4/5 weeks of the month like this:

Week1
Mon | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Tue | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Wed | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Thu | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Fri | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Total Time
Week2
Mon | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Tue | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Wed | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Thu | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Fri | Clock on time| clock off time | total time
Total Time

Surely that would be easy enough to keep track of?

I had something similar, but often work double shifts and I'd like to keep track of things I'm meant to be doing that day, besides working... It got messy!

I am open to suggestions though for layout :)

Probably best with Google Calendar then, you can do quite a lot with it. A good place to start would be to setup a separate filter for work hours within it so you can distinguish your work time from your own activities.

Thanks for your help so far :) Okay next question! :p I've noticed that the quick preview sometimes shortens events for example;

08.00-12pm BRC would show as "08.00-12pm BRC"
15.30-10.30pm GMC would show as "15.30 GMC"

Which is a tad annoying as I can't see my finish time at a glance!

Where are the filters about? I had a look and can see them :(
