Please rate my friend's first single.

At 0:57 he used the lyric

'I have to draw from the strength of my dreadlocks, set my spirit free, I've got be be above it, be a lion, draw the strength from my dreadlocks'.

He's got to be a lion? Draw the strength from his dreadlocks? His hair sets his spirit free?

Seriously? I LOL'd!

But who knows what the kids will like nowadays!

Reading that... I cringed. :(

Not my cup of tea, it’s a somewhere in between mediocre and monotonous. The sort of music you turn down when it’s on the radio. 4/10.

I'm not sure whether to take it seriously or not.

The music is certainly listenable and will no doubt appeal to a mainstream reggae audience, but the lyrics and video are pretty shocking.

I can't imagine any hardcore Rastafarians finding it particularly meaningful, but the younger generation may enjoy it.

He can't be bad ass pulling pistol gestures in poncey song like this! Although, It will probably get to no.1!

If it does, I shall go to my kitchen and bang pots and pans together whilst clucking like a chicken. Anyone up for sound editing??? We will have a chart topper in no time atall.

Harsh comments from the posters above, not my cup of tea and the song is probably not the best in the world but the production seems ok and I've seen worse videos/songs from mainstream singers/songwriters so credit where credit is due. Good effort and with better songs I reckon he could do alright.
