no, but the route he decided to take, took him into the heart of the action, the map of london they showed, clearly had a more direct/out of the way route he could have taken, which would have been passable i am sure, more so than what he decided.

i know of a few instances were coppers had used too much force and got nothing.

one person i know was punched in his eye and had a solid black eye like hed been in rocky film one was thrown down some stairs . some people i know were on bbc news a few years back for being cs gassed wrongly. its not like it doesnt happen and most of the time its swept under the carpet.

not saying it is a easy job but guidlines need to be followed.

Please don't try to draw a parallel between JCDM and Ian Tomlinson. JCDM was could not have done anything differently and was the victim of monumental procedural failures involving some of the Met's most senior officers (one of which was actually promoted after this fatal ****-up).

Mr Tomlinson was caught up in a public order incident of which he was not a part of, but was affected nonetheless by police attempts to control the situation, he then proceeded to act in a passive-aggressive manner to police who responded with reasonable force and sadly Mr Tomlinson died later.

Yeah, no, basically the cops have murdered individuals in cold blood and gotten away with it. As you said, some of the people responsible for the death of De Menzes even got promoted. They're going to live a cushy life until they die, surrounded by their loved ones. I fail to see how you have successfully argued my point away. If your idea of reasonable force includes assaulting from behind hard enough to cause abdominal haemorrhaging leading to death, then you seem incredibly vicious and I would NOT want to meet you in a dark alley.

Two people have died in incidents with the police, which could have been avoided. Here's a list of people found responsible and dealt with accordingly for those deaths:
