HTC Legend or Nexus One??

I personally wouldn't want to buy a phone knowing it had been discontinued. Retail stock is going to be run down - are you sure they're still manufacturing for networks.

Why? With the massive developer support available it will be fine for a long, long time.

If its with regard to replacements in the future, they'd probably just give you another phone of equal value via insurance etc.

Which might be something i wouldnt want, but be tied into a contract. Dunno, dont see the point in spending a lot of money on something already dead. Not when its pretty much identical to the Desire, bar touch buttons and a second mic...

Either way - just giving the OP the info in case they didnt have it :)

EDIT: Having just reread the OP if a desire deffo isnt on the cards, then Nexus one i guess!
 
If the choice is Nexus1 Vs Legend then it's a no brainer - Nexus1 all the way.
If you can be bothered to wait for the Desire I personally would (and did) take that over the Nexus1.
The two handsets from a hardware point of view are the same.
Nexus1 has Froyo at the moment - but Desire will get it.
I just prefered the look and feel of the Desire.
 
Nexus One because it looks far better with no lip, no physical buttons and has a glowing trackball for silent notifications which I prefer.

i have to agree with leon. Only reason i went for the Nexus was the beauty of it. (and the trackball makes me special wee)

Oh and it says google on the back :D
 
You could just write google on the back of a Desire :p but yeah in your choices get the Nexus one.

Seems you can get a google back for the desire.
