Anyone over 30 still enjoy building lego?

Well, myself am not anywhere near 30, but my Dad and Grandad both enjoy making lego with my Nephew, and they're both well over 30. I don't think you can really grow out of Lego. It's such a fun, challenging, and creative thing to play with. :)

200 quid well spent...... not :P

Thing i liked about Lego was actually creating new things from it not just building the original model.

That Taj Mahal one looks crap you couldn't make a spaceship or a bi-plane out of it cos it looks like all the pieces are specialised shapes...

Might as-well buy an air-fix kit.

like wise that Star destroyer one... how could you build a taj mahal out of that .. all the bits are precut- pre shaped....

Each to their own i suppose...ive had my eye on it for quite some time and looking forward to getting it and building it.

Go **** on someone elses parade;)

I would also enjoy building that model. :)

The two best bits of Lego I got was a Red Baron and a Sopwith Camel. They both cost around £200 about 5 years ago. They're still built now, and will probably never be taken apart. If I wanted to use lego to make different models, I would use all the assorted bricks I have in large crates. :D And due to the fact that it is really quite cheap to get a box of assorted bricks, people don't tend to buy intricate £200 models of something they appreciate, just to take it apart and use the bits to make a shammy plane. :p

I used to - but then I got my hands on qeradiant (level editor for quake) and now adays I spend my time building virtual worlds instead.

Oh just to add that the taj mahal lego kit didnt cost me £200...i paid £165 for it with delivery..found it on ebay cheaper;)...sometimes ebay is good for things like that.

Shame it's not proper pieces instead of jigsaw type special made ones :(

Well i suppose if it was proper pieces then the price would be stupidly high...as long as it looks good when built i wont complain....plus my nephew whos 7 gets here from canada in a couple of weeks time so i plan on building it when hes here.

Im not 30 yet, but Lego is awesome!

You woz robbed. Pretty sure mine only cost about £50 each at most. I've also got the Wright Flyer that they did around the same time although it's so fragile.
