I hope!

After three adverts in AT over 3 months my car finally goes today. I've had to take a fairly large hit on it but lesson learned, selling a 2.2 Prelude VTI to go sensible with a 1.7 Civic Coupe is not only boring but false economy.

The only person that has called me during this advertisment and it expires on Sunday too. He came last Sunday to view the car and left a deposit and he's coming to pick it up today after work and pay the balance, hopefully all goes well and I can start looking for a quicker car this weekend, i'm absolutely over the moon its going, its a great car nothing wrong with it but its just so boring after my previous cars and it will be great to have something that handles and goes well again

Heres to hoping nothing goes wrong!

Excuse me I never said it was a performance car? I said it was rare which it is so take your BS else where

Sorry its a 2002 1.7 Civic Coupe in Met Green with cream leather so its a rareish car with a marmite spec

forgive me for thinking you were refering the to 1.7 as a performance car.

BS = trying to pass off rare as crap

Mines been a ball ache to sell, I had a firm offer of £8750 yesturday but a guy offered £9700 today and he's coming to look tomorrow. I just pray it goes.

What like an intersteller mileage Golf. Why you looking for confrontation?

Fingers crossed for you, read your thread, it will go eventually i'm sure

Next time, choose a colour that doesn't ming and you might be able to sell it easier :)

Personal preference, I like the colour combo, same can be said for the colour in your sig, I think thats rank on a Lambo etc etc

Not really personal preference, probably more like majority preference that metallic green is rank.

It's ok to have your favourite colours no matter how minging, but it might be in your interest to test the waters what the majority of people think about your chosen colour, as it will help when you come to sell it.

It's a fact that Black cars are one of the most sought after. Things may have changed now with White becoming newly in fashion.

I know what you're saying but they wouldnt make them if they didnt sell, its still personal preference and although you are right black/silver/blue would sell much quicker than green the car is about to inherit its 5th owner so thats 5 people who like green cars :)

He was talking about his previous car (performance car), which he sold to buy the Civic (boring car), hence false economy.....wasnt he?

that could be a good choice for your next one if youre hoping for it to sell within three months ;)

confrontation, ill refer you back to the original golf thread two months ago where you already had a sore head about yours not selling

Green cars are for people who want a car and don't care what colour it is ;)

Try not to get fact and opinion confused, i've already said green cars are not as popular that just obvious however there are plenty of people that buy them otherwise they wouldnt exist the whole debate is based on personal preference so there is no right or wrong answer so comments like that are just, well, ignorant really.

Cant stand the things, over hyped unreliable POS with nasty wooden trim, heavy, VW dont even know how to manufacture a cooling system and recognise a common fault with it they would rather charge their customers £400 everytime the resistor goes pop for a whole new fan assembly, steering feel is non existant, the 150BHP GTI is slow, lardy and because of this it has a reputation for ruining the GTI badge, thanks for the suggestion but no thanks, if I wanted 20VT i'd go Audi or even Skoda over VW

Yes I was, I thought it was fairly clear when I typed it out but hey ho

From an outsiders point of view it made no sense. I didnt know you sold a performance car to buy the Civic, I thought you were referring to the Civic as the performance car.

Just stick the car names in other posts, it'll make it clearer :)

Must admit, I dont think I'd buy a car with yellow leather unless it was yellow as well.

I've edited it now you're right it was a bit confusing.

The seats are not yellow they are cream with green piping, pics make them look a little yellow'ish for some reason, ignore Matt, I asked him why people pay £2.5k for intersteller mileage Golf GTI's based on a reputation from two decades ago even though they dont live up to that reputation and he didnt like it very much
