Hey,
I'm looking for a new Card for roughly £150, can go either side by £15 or so, but nothing too much haha xD

Any suggestions guys? I was looking at the Sapphire 5830 1024mb.

Thanks

I believe that the 460 1gb is better than the 5830 1gb and the 460 768mb is about the same but either will do

Could you please explain how its better?
I've just been looking at the specs which OcUK provide, and i dont really understand them xD

The 5830 seems to have higher numbers, which generally means better, no? :P

A gtx 460 is better then the 5830 in benchmarks.

now you can get a cheeper 460 with less ram but you should save up and get the 460 with a gig or ram as these cards are better then the lower level ram models.

does not work like that, the different manufacturers have different ways of adding up and trying to market their products.

The only way to check performance is to look at a range of reviews from various websites.

I'm a 5830 owner, but for £150 I would recommend the GTX 460 768MB version.

It's slightly better value for money than the 5830.

I went for the 5830 because I can fit my existing waterblock on it with no modifications and because the volt mods were available for it.

I am tempted to get a 1GB GTX 460 though just to have a play. :D
