PC gamers > Console gamers...

£400

dell inspiron 560 and a cheapy graphics card would be about xbox quality

xbox + tv would cost about the same

as far as I can see the only real loss is the joypad instead of K+M, watched some people playing mw2 and the gameplay was at a snails pace compared with pc version just because of the slower aim, if xbox players had K+M I dont see any other differences really

Shamikebab I think it is, i think that's why you didn't see other games do it. Like Streetfighter 4 for example. It's acceptable for PC gamers to put up with it because it is an open system, very difficult to prevent. Consoles (well 360) are closed off systems so are far easier to regulate.

It being an open system does not make it any more acceptable than on closed system, It is just harder to regulate which does not make something acceptable.

And if there was even a hint of that being a reason then it would have been mentioned by now by the various articles.

How about some more fuel to help you out? :D

"PC gamers are better than console gamers"

Yes we also have higher standards in the games we splash out money for, or used to anyway.

Also annoying seeing fps type games that are cross platform coming out to the PC being demo'd by console pad gamers who can barely aim, its a joke. I'm sick of the gaming industry weaseling out of providing better when they can just get away with doing less, and still have a big console market to make money from desperate for whatever they get thrown out to them, because that is that heavily controlled and regulated market they support, where mods and free extensions made to games don't exist by fans who do that for free.

It also does seem a bit pointless owning a gamepad on the PC, I dig kb+mouse games that are done right, but it ****es me off that there on good games that get console exclusivity that would make much better PC titles especially given the right mod tools were provided to the community to extend that games re playability. Still DLC packs add to bigger profit margins and console gamers are just too easily suckered into going along with it.

MS has really done a lot to help PC gaming NOT they have an agenda in the controlled console market they've built up. Really game developers need to pick up open source api's like Opengl etc and dump propriety MS infested api's like directx etc where they like use those developments in adding incentive only to its barely improved/ crap changes in newer products like its vis7a OS in order make upgrades look more appealing to clueless. Things like that do more to split the market and make things worse.

Well that's the problem. I'm into video games on all platforms - have a gaming pc and the consoles - and the best games i've played this generation aren't available on the PC. The choice just isn't there any more. The same goes for pretty much every game i'm looking forward to over the next year or so. Sure, this comes down to personal taste, and there are some multiplatform games I prefer on the PC, but when it comes to variety and creativity it's consoles that are clearly leading the way. I'm actually struggling to think of a single PC exclusive of note in recent times, or anything that's done anything new that isn't a console port.

after playing both xbox 360 and pc for a longo time, i believe xbox360 to be more social easily, on pc most people get annoyed if youre new at a game ( alien swarm ) and rage at you, on xbox, most are freindly, unless its cod mw2 where they will flame u to shart because they are all angry little men.

yes pc is a better system and i wish i got all my games on pc, but srsly, unless people are more social and nice on pc is it really that much better?

it is actually getting to the dg im gunna get a eggbox :( not many are gaming pc wise or the games on pc are bug ridden

To be fair was it randoms you were playing?

I've found by experience that playing any co-op games, mainly L4D, and they're randoms. You'll have a less enjoyable experience.

It's not fair to include the price of the TV with a console as it undermines their silly arguments (inb4 console player claims only they can play on big screen TVs)

If you don't include the TV then surely you got to assume that most people have a PC anyway so the costs of a gaming PC is only the difference between a normal home pc and one that can play games. Which at the end of the day isn't really that much ;) Like i built my brother a gaming PC about a year ago for about £500-600 quid (OS included W7 beta then student deal ***) most people would be paying about that much for a normal one anyway, just his is better.

I suppose on the pc > Console topic then who cares? If the only reason you are better is because you have better controls then whats that saying? :D
