its really annoying because i cant, that is my max budget (970) So cant go any higher

GTX 460 is cheaper/same price (depending on model) and faster than the 5830:

yepp depending on model i would need a 1gb one and the minimum for them in 179

Even the 768MB versions perform better in most games...

No chance you could borrow £20 from someone if you really need the 1GB version?

True, however for the sake of buying the game later and having a faster PC I think it's still worth it.

Games last a few months tops usually, gaming PCs 2 years+

Looks good, but definitely get a 1GB GTX 460 over a 1GB 5830! I have the XFX 5830 and I am trying to get it exchanged for a 460. Do some research, even the 768MB 460 can out do a 5830!

Id just use a cheap keyboard & get a 5850. You can upgrade that later.

im going to get a HIS 5830 MW2 edition seems to run well on games and on my resolution im not bothered about and extra 5 or 6 fps which i might get on a 5850

i no and i respect that but the makes for the 460 at the moment in my price range just don't seem to be as good as one for the same price in a month or so, anyway im not going to be doing any heavy gaming like crysis just things like mw2, Gmod, dirt 2, JC2 etc....

Well you seem to have made your decision, no matter how many attempt to persuade you to move upwards to a 5850.
Wondering quite why you started the thread if nothing is to be changed.
